Casa Wood

Tamarindo Preserve, Tamarindo, guanacaste 50309

Hilltop Langosta Villa, Ocean Views + Rooftop

Casa Wood sits on the highest point in Playa Langosta, and you feel it the moment you walk in. From the master suite and the private rooftop terrace, the ocean opens up almost under your feet, close enough that the water fills the view. This is the home for the trip where the whole group comes, the one where everyone wants to be together but no one wants to be on top of each other.

The house is built over three floors, and the layout does the work of keeping a big group happy. You arrive on the main floor, where three bedrooms sit side by side. One floor up is where the day happens: the open living room and kitchen, the pool and its deck, and the master suite with those views. A spiral staircase climbs from that level to the rooftop, where the panorama over Langosta is the best seat in the house at sunset.

Downstairs from the main floor is the home's best trick, a fully self-contained apartment. It has its own two bedrooms, its own kitchen, its own living room, a private patio deck with a view, and its own barbecue. One family can take it, or the kids can have their own quarters, and everyone still gathers upstairs by the pool. It rents as part of the whole house, so the entire home is yours.

Six bedrooms sleep up to fourteen. The master carries a rare Alaskan King (274cm square, a bed you have to lie in to believe), with four King beds and two Queens across the other rooms. Six full bathrooms plus a half bath mean the morning never backs up.

Guests have the entire villa across all three floors, the rooftop, the pool, and the outdoor kitchen. Casa Wood sits inside a gated community on San Francisco Point with 24/7 security at the gate and an in-house concierge team on call. Your stay includes complimentary access to the private Langosta Beach Club, and maid service comes every other day (daily for a small additional fee). There is free parking on the premises, and your concierge, Pablo, lines up the surf lessons, private chef, and airport transfers before you land.

The home is on San Francisco Point, the quiet residential stretch where Playa Tamarindo meets the calmer, more private Playa Langosta. Langosta is the mellow side, uncrowded and residential, with surf that suits confident swimmers and longboarders, and it is where your beach club sits. Tamarindo town, with its restaurants and surf shops, is a short drive. Liberia International Airport (LIR) is about an hour and fifteen minutes away, so a rental car or a concierge-arranged driver is the easy way to get around.

A few honest notes: this is a three-floor home, with bedrooms across three levels and a spiral staircase up to the rooftop, so it is worth knowing for anyone with mobility limits or very young children. Casa Wood is brand new and coming online now, so launch imagery uses architectural renders while the home is finished and staged, with on-site photography to follow at go-live. The community is private and gated, and the concierge coordinates your arrival at the gate.

Modern outdoor patio with angled wooden roof, glass walls, lounge seating, dining table, barbecue grill, and a view of greenery and sky in the background.
